Gatik announced an $85 million Series B funding round in conjunction with their expansion into Texas. By utilizing both announcements we were able to create a larger brand moment on news day. The timing of the announcements together showcased a milestone for the company and pointed to the international and investor growth of autonomous vehicles.

Driving Autonomy Forward – First 60 Days

Gatik develops autonomous vehicle (AV) delivery solutions to tackle expensive urban logistics for retailers and other businesses. Focusing on B2B goods delivery for “middle mile,” Gatik uses Level 4 automated light trucks and vans to ensure goods are transported efficiently and affordably in city environments between supply chain locations. We began working with Gatik on June 1, 2020 with a mission to rapidly position the company as a true leader and pioneer in the red hot AV sector.

CNBC Network Takeover Day

As part of our business press program for Polaris (NYSE: PII), the Skyya team created and secured an unprecedented “CNBC Takeover Day” at one of Polaris’ facilities to underscore the Company’s commitment to U.S. manufacturing, jobs creation and fair wages, and discussion on steel and aluminum tariffs and fair trade. It was well-timed given the escalation of the U.S.- China Trade War with President Trump imposing new tariffs on China that morning.

Bringing an Italian Brand to NYC

To celebrate Ideanomics’ acquisition of Energica Motor Company and the fact that Energica would leave the MIlan stock exchange to trade under NASDAQ: IDEX, Skyya organized an analyst and press day at the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square. Complete with the Times Square tower messaging, a ceremonial ride in Times Square and subsequent press rides in Manhattan throughout the week, the event was a success and was widely attended by media and analysts alike.

Fortune 500 Investor & Analyst Day

Lithia Motors & Driveway (NYSE: LAD), a leading provider of personal transportation solutions in the United States and among the fastest-growing companies in the Fortune 500 (#6 on 10-Year EPS Growth, #4 10-Year TSR in 2020), hosted a virtual investor and analyst day on March 10, 2021, featuring Zoom presentations from Lithia President and CEO Bryan DeBoer and George Hines, the company’s Chief Innovation and Technology Officer. The primary topic was focused on Driveway, Lithia’s nationwide e-commerce home solution for auto retail where consumers can buy, sell and finance new and used vehicles (via 215 dealerships + growing), plus arrange for service originated from a home address (direct delivery + valet pickup).

Bringing Electric Hypercars to the U.S.

Automobili Pininfarina, is a luxury electric vehicle manufacturer based in Germany that aims to be the most sustainable luxury car brand in the world. Pininfarina announced the production of their electric supercar, the Battista, in July 2022. Designed, engineered and produced by hand in Italy, the Battista hyper GT is the world’s most powerful Italian sports car ever and sits at the intersection of sumptuous luxury and sustainability. Skyya was enlisted to make a name for Pinnafarina and their Battista vehicle in the U.S. Market through media engagements via press interviews and ride experiences. Skyya worked closely with to deliver key messages of importance of the U.S. market, unique differentiators, and plans to deliver the first vehicles to the US in 2022. Skyya worked with Pininfarina to create a unique press drive experience in Malibu, California amongst a tight date guidance and parameters) for 9 top tier press across luxury, lifestyle and business segments. The experience was a luxury and carefully and uniquely curated for a personalized and customer focused experience to provide a full experience a customer purchasing the vehicle would have. Dedicated sessions also provided background information for historic and timeless brands and their spot as one of the most luxurious and desired pure- electric hypercars, and the world’s first electric hyper GT.

Award-Winning Roadster

Polaris called on Skyya to launch a new on-road vehicle brand – the Polaris Slingshot – a three-wheeled roadster that delivers a driving experience like no other. Skyya set out to generate unprecedented, unpaid impressions in the first 90 days after launch with emphasis on outlets targeting our primary buyer demographic and drive consumers to place pre-order deposits given the lag time between launch and product availability.

An Electric Romp Through the Alps

When Energica Motor Company launched its new “green tourer” Experia electric motorcycle, the media was extremely receptive and excited about the new model, with billions of positive earned media impressions secured. To take the coverage to the next level, Energica hosted journalists from around the world in the Dolomites Italian mountain range for a test ride through the winding switchbacks of the Alps.

Going Driverless with Walmart

Skyya worked with Gatik’s mega retail partner Walmart, to announce plans for a driverless delivery vehicle and their new delivery route in Louisiana taking out the safety driver. Skyya and Walmart teams worked with Arkansas’ Department of Transportation to secure permits for this first-of-its-kind initiative in the state of Arkansas. In this campaign we teamed up with Walmart Corporate to announce plans to formally remove the safety driver from the vehicle in 2021 plus expansion into another state, Louisiana, with a longer route.
