The Yellow School Bus Goes Green

In January 2022, GreenPower Motor Company (Nasdaq:GP) announced its plans to manufacture zero-emission, all-electric school buses in West Virginia. To support both state and federal electrification plans, GreenPower signed an agreement to lease/purchase a manufacturing facility in South Charleston with plans to start manufacturing by the middle of 2022. Skyya worked with GreenPower to successfully announce the industry’s milestone news while developing strong key messages highlighting the significance both locally and nationally. Along with GreenPower, Skyya engaged with the West Virginia Governor’s office to successfully coordinate a press conference at the state capitol as well as cohesive messaging addressed in Governor Justice’s State of the State address.
