Ouster (NYSE: OUST) is a leading provider of high-resolution digital lidar sensors for the industrial, automotive, smart infrastructure, and robotics industries. Ouster has approximately 850 customers in over 50 countries with offices in the Americas, Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East. The company announced an industry first – merging with a top competitor, Velodyne. Velodyne and Ouster were long standing rivals in the lidar space until November 2022, when the two announced a “merger of equals.” The merger closed in February 2023. Skyya was tasked with creating and elevating media and consumer awareness around the announcement of the merger and the merger close.
